The Combustion Research Facility is seeking visiting faculty researchers for 10-week appointments in summer 2014. The Visiting Faculty Program (VFP) seeks faculty members and their students at institutions historically underrepresented in the research community in order to expand the workforce vital to DOE mission areas. Faculty members develop a proposal in partnership with a CRF scientist on a research project of mutual interest and may invite up to two students (one of which may be a graduate student) to participate in the research. These summer appointments are sponsored by the DOE Office of Science Workforce Development Program for Teachers and Scientists. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens. The application deadline is January 10, 2014, 5pm EST.
