The CRF is proud to welcome Imane Khalil as the new manager of the Energy Systems Engineering and Analysis Department. Imane holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego. She Joined Sandia Albuquerque in 2004 as a technical staff member where she developed code and conducted thermal analyses. She then served as manager of the Nanoscale and Reactive Processes Department in Division 1000, and then as manager of the Structural and Thermal Analysis Department in Division 6000. In the past six years Imane has also served as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Mexico and has been teaching an advanced Internal Combustion Engine class to seniors and graduate students. Prior to joining Sandia, Imane worked four years at Hamilton Sundstrand in San Diego.
