Biography
Brendan Davis has been employed at Sandia’s Hydrogen Effects on Materials Laboratory (HEML) since 2015, currently serving as the chief test system engineer. He possesses expertise in designing, building, and operating high-pressure gaseous hydrogen systems and associated controls, as well as performing fracture, tensile, and fatigue testing of metals in high-pressure hydrogen environments.
Prior to joining Sandia, Brendan worked as a Machinery Technician in the U.S. Coast Guard, primarily in engine rooms aboard deep-water vessels. Subsequently he was employed as a journeyman machinist at Chevron Corporation’s Richmond refinery machine shop.
